- Thermodynamic and transport properties of electrolyte and polyelectrolyte solutions.
- Highly asymmetric electrolytes (micelles, colloids, proteins).
- Development and application of methods of statistical–mechanics for systems of molecules governed by strong and/or directed intermolecular forces.
- Adsorption in randomly disordered material. Application of the continuos replica Ornstein-Zernike approach and computer simulations to quenched–annealed systems.
- Solvation studies. Development of molecular theories of aqueous solvation. Studies of the hydrophobic and ionic solvation. Polyelectrolyte hydration.
- Water–like fluids and aqueous solutions in confined systems: computer simulations and the density functional approach.
