IC Results: IC UL FKKT has been providing support for the research programs and projects in which faculty members have been involved in the past years. Since research work at UL FKKT is an inseparable part of the educational process, students of the faculty are also deeply involved in the research work within the research programs at different level of their study. Research equipment of UL FKKT IC is used for the preparation of diploma and master theses and especially for the research within the framework of doctoral dissertations. The equipment and facilities of IC UL FKKT have been also available to researchers from all partner organizations, other UL faculties, research institutions and companies which have stated interest in such analyses but lacked their own equipment. The services within UL FKKT IC have also been used by the industry, as well as the state and government agencies, who have been provided with instrumental time and experts’ support and assistance.

Link to other research infrastructure: The research equipment included within IC UL FKKT is technologically up-to-date and expensive. Therefore, its rational use is necessary in various research programs and projects inside and outside the UL FKKT as well as for establishing cooperation and synergy between various stakeholders in the region. Such approach is not significant only from optimal economic utilization point of view, but also from the perspective of research work complexity along with optimal utilization and qualifications of human resources. Therefore, the strategy of combining modern research equipment within the Infrastructure Centers (ICs) provides a starting point for modern scientific and research work, and in addition it also enables the transfer of knowledge into practice.

A network of research infrastructure centers of the University of Ljubljana (MRIC UL) are supported by the Agency for Research RS (ARRS).
